If you have been in the business world for the past 10 years, I’m sure you have noticed a transformation in the workplace—a movement away from the traditional “workplace” to a mobile workspace where business is conducted anytime and from (almost) any location.
Gist, a social contract management company, has put together this cool info graphic that clearly displays how more and more workers are using their smartphones to conduct business.
60% workers say they don’t need to be in the office anymore to be productive
The number of users who access their email from their mobile device was up 36% from November 2010 and November 2011
65% of mobile workers use a tablet, and 27% use a tablet for work
36% of mobile workers use tablets to send and receive emails, while only 7% use tablets to watch video content. This is an important statistic given that tablets are mainly designed to consume media.
